Server Maintenance (suPHP Install)

Maintenance Window: 03/07/10 12:00AM thru 4:00AM CST

Expected Impact: Because a complete rebuild of Apache’s configuration is necessary, it is quite possible that you may encounter spikes in server load time. In addition, Apache may become unavailable during this maintenance window.

Maintenance Description: In our continued pursuit of the safest shared hosting platform that one can provide, WebServe.me will be making suPHP standard on all of our servers effective March 7th. Without getting too technical, suPHP is a tool for executing PHP scripts with the permissions of their owners. suPHP does not provide any overall features to end-users except for peace of mind knowing that their server is utilizing an application that will help keep things safe and sound. During the overnight of ours on March 7th, WebServe.me will be enabling suPHP on all of our servers. As a result, it is possible that your PHP scripts may display errors.
